Another Moment of your Time  by Larner 3 Review(s)
Tallis KeetonReviewed Chapter: 33 on 9/25/2020
Hello my dear Larner :)
I must say that it was the most cruel of your stories I ever read :)
For a moment I was hoping for Livwen and Frodo and then bah!
The last of his ladies, his last chance for happy love. But of course I should have expected it becouse it was your storyline and I know that your storylines are not cheap and naively sentimental and such :) Of course it was genius story but to see him robbed of so much in live is cruel, even the afterlife seems mot enough for what he lost.
Warm Greetings to you - my fav ff author and to all your friends here :)
I hope to hear smt from you soon :)

Author Reply: Oh, but I missed this, Tallis! I've not been able to send out emails for ever so long, what with having to rely solely on my telephone company's server to get access to my email. It's truly a pain! And with my work schedule now I've not been able to connect to the techs that can advise me what to change in my email client so as to get my mail going as well as coming in.

No, no simple love story for Frodo Baggins, although he did not allow his undesired celibacy to poison his heart as so many seem to do. But I do believe his love for Livwen was rewarded, even if it was not physically consummated.

Thanks so for your patience. Yes, I am here. I am now able to again properly receive my email sorted, and I hope so to be able soon to get mail sent as well as received. I hate computer glitches! It took so long to find where the computer hid my email client after the last surge I received, back in July. Now, to solve the other problem! Aaargh!

This was so beautifully and delicately written Larner. It brought tears to my eyes. I think that it is even better if one is familiar with the body of your work which is a testament to the consistency of your storyline.

Author Reply: I am honored that it moved you, Harrowcat. And I do try to keep my storyline as consistent as possible, although sometimes that proves problematic. Thanks so!

Just beautiful!! What more can I say?

Except.......the glassblower's daughter??

Author Reply: I suppose you must read "The Ties of Family" and "The Acceptable Sacrifice" to appreciate the references to the glassblower's daughter, as she appears in those two stories. She's quite young and very beautiful, and I think that Frodo was as attracted to the odd manner in which the youth who was courting her did so as he was to her. She and Livwen are two of my recurring original characters. Lavender Brandybuck is mentioned in "Unnatural Appetites."

And thank you so very much! I enjoyed writing this.
