It's good that Bilbo understands why he's unable to help Frodo in the same way Adamanta can. As a "mother", her relationship with Frodo would be much different and more open than his own.

Author Reply: Exactly. Frodo's been so long without a mother-figure, and Adamanta is just the person to give it to him. Bilbo is secure in his own relationship to Frodo, but he knows that it's a far different one.

I am so glad for the three of them as each finds healing in his own way.

Author Reply: Yes. It's a little more subtle for Bilbo. He too had his own wounds, though he'd be the last to think so, but all of them needed healing.

I love the double meaning in the chapter title. My heart soars with Bilbo's.

Author Reply: Thank you! It seemed very apt.

Mine, too! Of course, Frodo's healing is a major part of this story, and a major reason for Adamanta's presence.
