Ah, so Mirime enjoys apples! I wonder who it was that thought of apple pies...cooling on the sill? *grins at Dreamflower* Maybe Adamanta made the first one?

Kaylee

Author Reply: Or perhaps Tuk did. He was the one who taught her to cook, after all! *grin*

Hunger! Ah, to have a body is to know the moods and needs of it, after all. And now we know who else is coming to tea....

a feeling of hollowness and the sound of rumbling coming from within her

LOL! That was to be expected, sooner rather than later!

When she first watched all those hobbits, she was only an observer. Now, she *is* one of them and interacts with them - not to mention her feelings for Tuk ;-)
And everything looks completely different to her!

Concerning Elrond's guests, my guess was right ;-) I'm looking forward to reading more.

Author Reply: Indeed, sooner rather than later! She *is* a hobbit now, after all.

*nods* You are right on all points, there! And there will be more soon!

//but it was altogether different to hear of them in his voice, filtered through his love and his humour and his exasperation//

Oh, I like that. And of course she would feel hungry pretty soon...

Author Reply: Yes, they've just been some of her "flock" before, but now they will be family, and she is hearing them through one who loves them.

Yep. She's a hobbit now!

How delightful! New sensations, and experience illuminating observations made without really understanding--suddenly understanding comes! It's rather like a small child, who memorizes by rote because that's something that comes naturally to small children, and then suddenly understanding dawns as they recite that memorized information at a later date, and because of added years and life experience it suddenly takes on a whole new deep and rich meaning.

Sorry, am rambling. Too much coffee.

Hmm. An invitation from Elrond, delivered by... Gandalf?

Thanks!

Author Reply: *nods* I think your rambling makes perfect sense. Now that she can experience the senses herself, and the feelings they bring, she is truly beginning to realize!

Yep. I think Elrond knew that Gandalf would easily be able to find his "sister".
