| For an enjoyable take on the fresh south wind blowing up from the sea, go read Chapter 21, called "Breath of Arda" in Fiondil's "Tales From Varda's Loom." He suggests that Manwe and the Valar sent that wind to aid the cause of those on the side of Light. A hopeful story, just as this one is. | Your description of Pippin's fright -- and incredible courage -- is excellent. Such an exciting story! It's wonderful to know that Theoden and Boromir are riding together for the defense of Gondor. | |
