I am often glad that this site lets us do more than one review per chapter. Oops, the one with the loom is VAIRE, of course, not Varda! And, also, i am glad you are still traveling along with this story!

For an enjoyable take on the fresh south wind blowing up from the sea, go read Chapter 21, called "Breath of Arda" in Fiondil's "Tales From Varda's Loom." He suggests that Manwe and the Valar sent that wind to aid the cause of those on the side of Light. A hopeful story, just as this one is.

Author Reply: Thank you for reading, and thanks so much for the heads up about Fiondil's story -- I will definitely go read that, I love his work and how he always seemed to write with hope.

The various threads of the story now knit together to begin the tale of the Battle of the Pelennor. Now, to see it played out with the addition of Boromir and his men.

Whew! I’ve just read this whole thing in two days, and it’s been an amazing treat! Thanks so much for all your hard work on this. I’m glad to see you’re still working on it, and I will look for the next update, whenever it may be. In the meantime, I’ll just say again that this is such an excellent tale ...

Thanks for writing! :-)

Your description of Pippin's fright -- and incredible courage -- is excellent. Such an exciting story! It's wonderful to know that Theoden and Boromir are riding together for the defense of Gondor.
