CelethReviewed Chapter: 1 on 3/1/2013
wow! so Elrond was not always so wise, cool and collected! hehehe

thanks for the story, I enjoyed it. I especially love it that Lord Namo and Lady Vaire really like Glorfindel...

Author Reply: Hi Celeth. No, not even Elrond was wise, cool and collected from the get-go. He had to learn like the rest of us. Glad you enjoyed the story. Thanks for letting me know. I appreciate it.

I love this story. Are we going any more of dinners with Namo and a certin Weaver? I believe that there are some tapestries that need to be explored.

Glorfindel sighed. He was definitely going to have to do something about his current headache before the next one began....

That sounds like some of my bad days, poor Glorfindel.

Author Reply: Indeed. *grin* Glad you enjoyed the story, Midhaer. Thanks for reviewing.

What bet did Namo loose? Should do a story about that and have a dinner party with the same characters. Loved the story. Thank you.

Author Reply: Hi Trish. I'm thinking that the bet Námo lost was the one that is chronicled in the Tapestry story "SMOKE: One Night At the Laughing Vala"> If you haven't read that, then you should. I think you will enjoy it. Thanks for letting me know that you enjoyed this story. I appreciate it.

This is one of the funniest stories I've ever read!
I wonder about that bet Vaire collected from dear Namo. That would propably be a story worth reading. Is it among the stories from your tapestry (the one about the Laughing Vala)?

Author Reply: Hi Thalanee. I'm glad you found this so amusing. Yes, the story "One Night at the Laughing Vala" is the one referred to here. You should check it out. *grin*

So Gil-Galad thought that Brethilion's name was appropriate did he, not having met his mother I can't say either way, she was probably a lovely elleth!
I am surprised that the prince does not know any Quenya, but then if Thranduil's halls are based on Menegroth he may have gone a step further and banned Quenya as did Thingol. Myself I would rather know what my friends and enemies are talking about among themselves, thay don't have to know I know though!
This is what comes of your being out of the loop for a while, I keep rereading stories and finding new things to comment on!
Lynda

Author Reply: Thranduil lived in Doriath and so was influenced by Elu Thingol. I suspect the Silvan elves of Mirkwood couldn't be bothered to learn a langauge that was more like book-Latin for most elves... not something spoken on a regular basis, so there was no need to learn since everyone in the Elvish realms spoke Sindarin. Thranduil himself probably never learned so there was no reason for his children to learn either.

Rereading stories and finding new things to comment on isn't necessarily a bad thing you know. *grin*

Oh, wow, just found my way to the picture on C of E! What an image to take to work today!
Hm yes, Haldir, hadn't better let that sword slip you would probably reget it! I know if I was Mrs. Haldir I would!
I think you should check through Vaire's store rooms and find a few more of her tapistries to inspire you!
Hope you and the Muse are settling in O.K.,
More please,
Lynda

Author Reply: Thanks for a great review, Lynda. Beruthiel's Cat and I really appreciate it. My Muse and I are settling in just fine, thanks. Perhaps Lady Vairë will let us take a peek at her workshop again someday. You never know what we might find as inspiration. *grin*

Meldonya, I never reviewed this???

*blinks in shock* This was an excellent fic and one that shows me just how well you work with a co-author...*grin* BC is a talented author too, greatly enjoyed this tale! Though my invitation must've been misplaced! *pouts* Lovely story within a story and I wish I could've seen the expression on Haldir's face when he was told about the portrait :D

~Kaylee!!!!

*very very VERY sorry for the incredibly LATE review*

Author Reply: That's okay... at least you found it now. And thanks. The two of us really enjoyed working together on this and look forward to collaborating again on future stories.
