Nice chapter. My favorite line was - the peacefulness of Imladris has dimmed even his wary senses. Gives me thought that Aragorn immediately recognizes a warrior when he sees one.

It seems so like Aragorn to watch unseen, calculatedly taking the newcomer's measure. Although it was a shock to realize that this grown warrior was none other than Boromir, he recovered quickly enough to take the upper hand in their first encounter. Even then, a tension exists between them. You played that nicely. And I really loved Aragorn's momentary sense of time's passage. This was an especially great line: For all the times I have felt the days passing by so slowly, it is moments like this that make me wonder where all of the years have gone. You've really got a handle on Aragorn's maturity and self-awareness here. Even though you say in the author's notes that you're more like Boromir! And congratulations on your graduation.

A most, most reasonable question, whether Boromir can be brought to accept him. Good look at the encounter from Aragorn's POV.

If Boromir had a fault it was his pride in and love of Gondor. The Ring took this and used it to it's advantage until his own sense of honour broke through it's blandishments and showed him the truth, everything It touched It corrupted!

A very good start, and I look forward to seeing who else's POV you capture! I like Aragorn's startlement at realizing how many years have passed since he last saw Boromir!

It's true Boromir fell to the Ring, but his fall was a brief one, and necessary. And of course, he more than made amends for his lapse.

So that is Boromir. Even through his weariness I can sense his pride and strength.

I like this, and look forward to more.
