I can picture Faramir running into Eomunds arms as clearly as though I was standing there! Great chapter! Update soon please!
God Bless!

Author Reply: I could too - astounding how awesome Eomund is - I have definitely fallen in love with the Rohirrim... I'm wondering how much of a part he will have in this tale though... Sadly, I don't think a lot... but the Muse can surprise me -

I didn't see the wizard coming!!!!

So Faramir is restored to his people, come home to Minas Tirith, and who is that lying in wait? If it's Saruman, Indis needs to whisk the kid away before Whitey lays one pale finger on our little Steward. I hope that Saruman isn't hypnotizing Eomund. Ichh. Where's Mithrandir when we need him, eh?

Good chapter; but it looks like there is more danger to come.

Author Reply: I agree with you about hiding Faramir, Raksha! And yes, though I was surprised by the Muse myself, there is more danger to come.

Thanks for continuing to read!

Bless Targon's sweet heart! Cookies! *LOL* :D It didn't say, but I can imagine that they were hot and chewy just in time. The bit about Faramir and the rabbit is very interesting and funny. Last, but not least, so happy to have our little steward home. Your A/N at the end of this chapter is especially heart warming. Love and hugs, Neilia

Author Reply: I know we kind of missed the reuinion with Targon and the cookies, but it was too touching and too sad to relate.... The rabbit - now Faramir was really surprised by the rabbit - but I think that lesson will come in handy when and if he and Aragorn get together in the Spring....

Loves and hugs right back!

Welcome home Faramir. Let the celebration begin. It is sorely needed. Targon would be a wonderful squire for Faramir were he not dedicated to being a cook. That does not mean he could not be a loyal friend.

Author Reply: You know... when Faramir came back from the Mering... it was a very quiet affair - not too many had known of the dire straits the lad had been through... so it's fun to write a chapter of joy and celebration for the people of Gondor... they really needed one!!!

Targon is hopelessly in love with cooking - he wouldn't leave it for the world... but having a cook for a friend is a good thing - especially if you like his cookies!!!!

I so pray it is Gandalf that is beside Eomund! And all realize that his adventure has benefited the child! Wonderful!

My stepdad's mother was afraid if she told us we were having rabbit we wouldn't eat it--apparently that was true of the cousins. I just thought rabbit was stringy in coparison to chicken, myself. Meat was meat! Bless your mother!

Author Reply: Well, thankfully Sam had no such compunctions about coneys!

Alas, I do not think it is Mithrandir..... but it's great having Eomund back!

Thank you so much for the review!

Cookies for the returnee! Works for me. Oatmeal raisin is good but chocolate is better. LOL Targon is adorable. He can take over my kitchen anytime he wants. Others might look down on such a friendship between Steward and cook's apprentice but Faramir is smart to make friends with Targon, however lowly his station might be at this point. If your best friend is learning to be a cook, you will never lack for cookies. *grin*

Author Reply: I would LOVE having a cook for a friend.... I don't think Faramir would ever have... or in my tale, will ever have... a problem with 'class' - the boy/man is too humble to think he is 'better' than others... though this could present a problem later on in life...
