| Poor Finduilas--toward the end so much must have seemed overwhelming. Author Reply: I pass a little promontory by the huge lake I live by when driving to work everyday. It gives me inspiration and hope and peace to see it jutting out calmly into the waters. Sometimes the lake is filled with 7-8 foot waves, sometimes just little whitecaps, and sometimes flat and peaceful. Finduilas needed some water by her, not just a fountain by a dead tree. Overwhelming indeed. | |
