Agape's Attempts  by Agape4Gondor 3 Review(s)
Grey WondererReviewed Chapter: 24 on 8/11/2007
Wonderful! It really must have been nearly impossible for Boromir to row the boat with only the help of the hobbits. I like the way he struggles too with saying anything to Aragorn until finally he feels he has no choice in the matter. The dark foreshadowing at the end is well done too!

Author Reply: Can't keep forshadowing away from Boromir, can we? DRAT

But I am always surprised at Boromir's hesitancy when speaking up - he was a Captain of Gondor and yet, he did wait here as he did at Caradhras...

What he would give for a couple of his own warriors rowing with him. They would have been a force ro reckon with!

A powerful look at this powerful moment in the books.

Well done!

Author Reply: Thanks, PT. Boromir's frustration throughout the trip had to be growing. He could only hold still so long!

A wonderful moment well, well wrought.

Author Reply: Thank you. I do love this scene in the book. It was difficult for the entire Fellowship. How they must have thought they were doomed!
