Agape's Attempts  by Agape4Gondor 5 Review(s)
LindeleaReviewed Chapter: 16 on 4/12/2013
Ah, Sam. If anyone could do it, he could! (And lovely, and so like him, that the prize money would not be for himself, but for flowers for his mum.)

Author Reply: I just love a good pumpkin patch. I'm not so sure if Sam's Gaffer would enjoy the amount of space these lovely globes take up, but I'm sure his mum would love them. Thanks for commenting!

Oh, this was wonderful! I'm getting ready to enter the county fair here. No pumpkins as I don't have a garden to grow them in but I feel an awful lot about my entires as Sam is about his!

Author Reply: It is funny, though. It seems to me that we each have some 'special' gift and we ALL know that the Gaffers' gift was growing potatoes. Sam knew he couldn't (nor do I think he wanted to) compete with his Da. So he found something else!

Good luck at the fair!!!

Why not indeed! Though our Sam will be known for a good deal more some day!

Author Reply: Ah! Sam is defintiely going to be known for a lot more - though with his dear Hobbit heart, he wanted Frodo known instead. I just love Sam to pieces!

Sam must have been very enterprising and getting a bit of extra money would have been on his mind a great deal I should think.

Author Reply: With all the children to feed, it would seem to me that coin would not be readily available for the Gaffers' children... even though Bilbo must have been a generous employer, still - to have a bit of pocket change for a child is very nice indeed... for things like gumballs and slingshots and the ability to buy a kerchief once in awhile for his mum... hmmmmm...

Wonderful Agape! I think my favorite of the few drabbles I've seen featuring Sam.

Author Reply: Thanks, Larner. I just love Sam. His 'infinite' thinking of others...
