Oh, I like this one very much. I've always adored Boromir and I love it best when he is doing something herois or chivalrous. Hugs!

Author Reply: Isn't Boromir just about the very best!!!!

Glad you like this little scene. I couldn't pass it up. He is so splendid!

Hugs right back at ya!

For some reason I have always loved that part of the film. I like the drama of it and the way they all work together so that no one is left behind. Lovely!

Author Reply: But the funniest thing is that Frodo is left almost to the last... now wouldn't it have seemed wiser to save the Ringbearer! LOL

As for the rest of it, YES - I am so glad that PJ added this little part to the tale - in my mind, it is now fanon... And to think it came about by just a little pencil drawing that, I think it was Alan Lee, showed him... the gap in the stairs then became the scene that was so tense and wonderful...

ooo! another shivery one!

Author Reply: I just loved that scene - and one of the best parts was how well Legolas could shoot! Got them every time... HERE - but what happened to him at the Battle of Helm's Deep - that's what I'd like to know. LOL and ducks flying tomatoes!

A splendid movie moment, and your novelization is spot on!

Author Reply: It seemed only right that one who lived under the shadow of Mount Doom would know what the trembling earth foretold. I cannot believe that Minas Tirith even... on a nasty day... would feel the tremors of the volcano! Thank you ever so much for a wondrous comment!

Definitely movie-verse, but a good one.

Author Reply: *giggles* I got the biggest kick that poor PJ got stuck with this moment - in the cast commentaries (I think) it states that Howard Shore drew the picture with the gash in the stairs and a lightbulb went off in PJ's mind.

Isn't that the way it is with authors too? Aren't we just at the mercy of the Muse!!!

Thanks for commenting!
