Magical Mystical Cave  by Lily Dragonquill 2 Review(s)
AndreaReviewed Chapter: 1 on 12/5/2006
Hi Lily!

"Trolls are tall, fat, and ugly. He isn't ugly."

Believe it or not, it wasn't until that line that I recognised that they were only playing! I was going to protest against Frodo dragging little Merry into dangerous caves. But, well, there's obviously no need ;-)
Very clever of you!

So, even Saradoc remembers that he once was a lad like Frodo and Merry. And I bet he, too, liked to play "adventure".
However, Frodo's astonishment shows that the Master of the Hall *did* lecture him before, more than once, it seems. So, he should really enjoy the moment - and the dinner of course.

(Take your time with "Schicksalsjahre"! Like Saradoc, we all know that work comes first. But a little distraction, like this story, is always welcome!)

Author Reply: This story has beeen on my mind for quite a while - and since I barely have time to get lost in some adventure I thought Frodo might lose himself... and Merry :)

Yes, Saradoc has definitely lectured Frodo before. I think Saradoc should write a book.... "Lectures for Every Day - A Collection by Saradoc Brandybuck" :D
After all we know that he is really talented in giving lectures.

I hope there will soon be a Yule distraction for you.

Other than the language being a bit adult for a five-year-old, this is a wonderful tale. I can see the imaginations of both of them working.

Author Reply: Children's language is surprisingly difficult in a second language. I'm glad you liked it still. Thank you.
