How often in the past few years have the creeks continued to rise in spite of me! Oh, I feel so with Aragorn! Poor man!

Author Reply: Yes, the forces that control the world do seem to conspire against mankind.

I do feel for Aragorn, especially when fan fiction writers get their hands on him. *g*

Oh yes it can! I love this because it totally expresses how I am feeling about RL at the moment but I can't even blame Gandalf! Thanks for the smile!

Author Reply: Oh, I'm sorry RL is being such a pain! *hugs* Glad I was able to cheer you up a little.

Poor Aragorn! You conveyed his misery very vividly. Our beloved Ranger was certainly brave and tough!

Author Reply: Yes, he was- and that is why we love him to death *g*

With his experience Aragorn should know better, and not tempt the fates as he did. It just goes to show he's not perfect right? A most delightfully humourous vignette which still illustrates well the hardness of Aragorn's life.

Author Reply: He is only human, in the end, and makes mistakes here and there... that are slightly painful for him, yes, but humorous for us. Aww, poor ranger.

Somewhere early in the journey to Rivendell in "Fellowship" Aragorn intimates to the Hobbits that he looks as grim as he does from a lot of sleeping out in the wild. He did not go into a lot of the miserable details just then. This piece very graphically lets us be dirty, cold, wet and bruised with Aragorn!

Author Reply: Oh yes, I remember that passage vividly- Strider tells them that it would take years to look like him, and they would be killed first unless they were of harder stuff than they looked to be. It is difficult to imagine all that he went through all of his long years.

Ha!Ha! is all I can say. I know it isn't funny to dear old Strider but it was funny to read and so very true, just when you think things couldn't get any worse, something always happens to remind you they can. LOL! Hugs The Imp

Author Reply: Oh, it is so true! Too many times have I thought those dreaded words- they certainly hold a curse over them, since it always becomes worse!

If you don't think it can get any worse, it will!
Poor Aragorn, I hope he finds a nice dry cave with lots of dry wood for a fire and a misplaced food bag!
More please,
Lynda

Author Reply: Oh yes, me too! Poor man certainly deserves some reprise. And quite a few more are coming within the next week- stay tuned! :)
