Darned right, Aragorn better stay arround awhile and wait for the twins. Now doesn't he feel better that he made his way back home.

Author Reply: Oh he does... for now. The twin meeting is written, but it may not play out as others expect it to play out. ;P

That was beautifully done, Laire. You are absolutely right, Elrond never stopped loving Aragorn. I so wish we had more words spoken between them on this matter in canon, but the unsupportive, bullying Elrond we see in the films is certainly not Tolkien's Elrond.

Author Reply: Thank you very much.

Don't remind me about movie!Elrond; he depresses me quite often in his treatment to Aragorn and his manipulation of Arwen. Frankly put, that is *not* Elrond. One can only hope that Thranduil is not butchered in such a way.

Another very moving vignette, Lairė. Aragorn was very lucky in having such a caring and wise person as Elrond as foster father.

Author Reply: I agree completely; goodness, I imagine that quite a few people would not mind having Elrond as a father-figure. He is an amazing character.

Love the reassurance! Am so glad he had Elrond as his foster father. The best he could have, having been robbed of his own father by the orcs.

Author Reply: I know- Elrond is such an amazing character. He is still so loving, even after all that he has lost. Bless him.

This is such a powerful piece. I had tears in my eyes. I am glad that you did not cut it down to fit an arbitery word length. In fact you could easily expand this even further.

Author Reply: Oh my! I am touched that you were touched like that.

It indeed can easily be expanded, and I do think I would like to write about his and the twins' reunion, at the least.

Absolutely canon, and wistfully lovely. I even believe I remember a place where Elrond says something to the effect that by his sacrifice of his daughter the world of men will be enriched. It has been too long since I have read much in LOTR. Still, I can not believe that a loving Creator would allow any of his beloved children to be lost or wasted. I very much believe that there will be reunions beyond the circles of this world!

Author Reply: Oh, really? I am rereading LOTR and haven't come yet across that line... but it is true, is it not? She is a wonder, after all, and not only for her beauty.

And I completely agree with you; I think that they all were reunited once more. Perhaps I'll write about that sometime :) Thanks for the review!
