You did Sam very well - no need to fret about that! This is a fine little gap-filler about love and trust.

Namarie, God bless, Antane :)

Author Reply: Well, thank you! Sam is a rather difficult hobbit to write; I understand hobbits like Bilbo better :)

I really liked this one! I'm going back and catching up on those I've missed, and so I actually read this one after reading "The Stranger in the Corner" which makes this one even more poignant. Not such a stranger anymore now. And I think both your Aragorn and Sam voices are right on. You did a brilliant Sam. Great job, and good luck with your school year.

Author Reply: Thank you very much. This chapter probably is an excellent follow up to "Stranger", and I'm so glad you liked it. Thanks again :)

awww Sam and Strider moment! i really liked the interaction you had between them. This is a great gap-filler to what might've happen since as you wrote as your last quote--Sam didn't really trust Strider at first. Very nice job. And i think i like your Sam. :)

Author Reply: Aw, thank you, Peri ^^ Gap-fillers are definitely lots of fun to work with... and Sam is such a challenging character, so I liked trying him out ^^

No. no more doubts. Dear Sam.

You had no problem there with Sam! Excellent. Strider was great also! A wonderful moment with Sam and Strider.

Earning Sam's trust was undoubtedly the most difficult - and probably, therefore, it would be the most warming. You know you've cracked it if you have Sam letting you look after Frodo.

That's a wonderful fill-in scene. I can imagine it all happening just that way. :D
