Web of Treason  by Linda Hoyland 2 Review(s)

Some of the complications are of your own making, Aragorn. (And Denethor's, but it's too late for him to do anything about it.) Enjoy the simple friendship with Eomer - but don't throw away a more complex relationship!

And I'm really not surprised that Aragorn is left fearing a) the dark, b) solitude and c) confinement. It would be more surprising if he could just throw them off.

Author Reply: Thank you for your much appreciated review. Yes, I agree Denethor has played his part in this complex tangle !I try to be as realistic as I can andavoid overnight cures in my stories.

Good work on the relationship between Eomer and Aragorn; you show the horse-lord's compassion and love for his friend, a love that Tolkien made a point to have Eomer articulate in ROTK.

Aragorn really needs a peanut butter and jelly sandwich and a teddy bear about now.

Author Reply: Many thanks for your much appreciated review.I think Aragorn and Eomer's friendship is often neglected and wanted to show it.

The poor King badly needs something to cheer him.
