Web of Treason  by Linda Hoyland 4 Review(s)

The evocation of what in later times became the Triple Goddess is fascinating; though Arwen names herself Eldest/wise woman rather than crone. Faramir's usage of words from the sovereign of Great Britain is an inspired touch.

And nice moments between Eowyn, who is tired and stressed, and pushy-pesky Elbeth.

Author Reply: Many thanks for your much appreciated review. The idea of the TripleGoddess fascinates me too, I wrote a poen a few years back. Arwen's desciption of herself was your idea, I think,as the lovely Evenstar is hardly a crone in appearance, despite her years.
i'm pleased you enjoyed the chapter.

Doubtless the ceremony was beneficial. Calming and setting the mind on the proper course of action.

I expect it went very much against the grain for Eowyn to stay behind at this point! Although the shieldmaiden is probably the best defence Arwen and the children have. Even if she has given up the sword!

Author Reply: Many thanks for your much appreciated review. Aragorn needs something that might help him.I'm sure Eowyn wanted to prove herself again in battle, but she is now a mother, though I'm sure she could still protect Arwen and the children if need be.

This is a great ritual moment Linda! Well done

Author Reply: Thank you so much, I'm pleased you enjoyed it.I've always been fascinated by ancient rituals.AS a child, one of my favourite treats was to be allowed to look at my Mother's book about the Queen's coronation.
