Web of Treason  by Linda Hoyland 2 Review(s)

Listen to Arwen, Faramir! You had to do it to stand any chance of saving Aragorn - and that, in the end, is more important.

(Not that he will listen! Guilt is far too deeply ingrained in him. And I suspect his attitude is part of what makes Aragorn unable to understand. Difference between guilt and culpability. Everything has to be Faramir's fault. Good thing Eowyn is determinedly practical. Someone has to be.)

Author Reply: Many thanks for your much appreciated review.Arwen is of course right and you are spot on about Aragorn reading Faramir's guilt the wrong way.I am sure there are times when Eowyn wishes she could shake them both !

Thanks for dedicating the chapter to me, it's very flattering! Poor Fara finally gets some mental relief by confessing to Arwen and then some physical relief by letting her use the elven massage on his injured back. Gondorian etiquette is way too rigid--I hope Aragorn makes changes in it to loosen it up when he regains his throne. Embarrassed shirtless blushing Fara is kind of cute though. Glad to read also that he and Eowyn plan to take Elbeth in to live with them. She's going to love living in Ithilien, where there is plenty of room for kittens.

Author Reply: Many thanks for your much appreciated review.I think Faramir is too accustumed to the rigid rules to change, even if Aragorn did relax them !Still, i agree,he is cute when blushes !
