Web of Treason  by Linda Hoyland 4 Review(s)

At least the fever has broken. Our heroes don't have an easy course ahead when the physician can't heal himself. Good thing that Faramir was so well-prepared in terms of supplies.

Thanx for the praise of my 'teaching'. I don't have much to teach you, but everyone can benefit from a beta. And it's much easier to edit someone else's occasionally excessive prose than one's own, particularly when the story is already so strong.

I don't know what Faramir would have done without Tarostar's help and you are right,a difficult road lies ahead.

It is very hard to edit one's own story as you cannotsee your own mistakes.Your help is greatly appreciated in trying to make my stories a worthwhile enterprise.

Oh my goodness, it looks as if our King is in dreadful shape, now with chillblains on top of everything else, but at least he's accepting Fara's help, albeit warily. Just another one of those chapters where I wish I could give all the characters big hugs, though I would have to hug Aragorn very gently of course, and take them some hot soup and some modern medical supplies!

I suppose Aragorn is in too much of a state to be totally rational just now - but you'd think he would be gladder to have been rescued. He seems to trust Faramir in some ways - while sticking in the knife in others. (Oh well - I suppose he can't be perfect!)

I'm glad he seems to be getting a bit better.

I think Aragorn fears this rescue might be just a brief respite to make him well enough to endure further torture. The poor man is very ill and confused.

How much have you edited this Linda? I don't have time to go onto the other site and look, (I am at work and shouldn't be reading at all,) but it reads so well. Love the resoration of the thought bond even if only in part.

Author Reply: Many thanks for your much appreciated review. I have tried to edit out typos, put in missed commas, break up overlong sentences, chop out bits that aren't needed and try to avoid repeating words,in short do everything Raksha is trying to teach me as she edits my current story !
I am so pleased you think the rewrite works well,it makes all the hard work worthwhile.
