Fear No Darkness  by Thundera Tiger 1 Review(s)

Hmmm, more building tension. The hobbits were very hobbity. Most of this chapter was easy to visualize with your descriptions. I see now, Tranduil's fatherly concern comes off as being judgemental and unreasonable, a common parental problem. It will be interesting to find out the source of his hatred for the dwarves. I like the way he and Celeborn were interrupted by the horns: again, it was quite easy to see that scene. Worried about everybody outside the valley, now. On to the next. TF

Author Reply: Well, I think the first source of hatred for the dwarves would probably be their murder of Thingol in the First Age, but aside from that, Thranduil has other, more personal, reasons for disliking them, as will be seen later. Glad the scene was clear for you!
