Well, I have torn through two chapters at a sitting. There is a lot going on here. I'm not a big fan of MeanNasty Thranduil, but the confronation works well in this story. You are setting up something, I think! I like it that Gimli serves as a calming influence. On to the next... TF
Author Reply: Have patience with Thranduil. We haven't explored his side of the story yet. He's coming off as gruff and impossible, but he's hiding quite a few of his fears and misgivings behind his anger. I understand your objections, though. I think I could have toned him down a bit. |
