Don't Panic!  by Boz4PM 5 Review(s)
IvyReviewed Chapter: 7 on 7/30/2006
You're really very good at writing psychology, you know that? This is excellent...her thinking that she is insane rather than thinking that she's actually in Middle-Earth. You've really made me feel for both of these characters, and seeing as how I don't remember much about Halbarad, it's basically 2 OCs to me...that's a huge accomplishment (at least from my perspective), since I have trouble liking even one OC (well, *cough*, at least those I haven't written, lol. JK, haha).
Once again..."may" is incorrect. But I said that already, haha. (It's a common grammatical error..."may" is generally only used in asking permission/granting permission--ability=can, as you know--and "might" is for the possibility of something happening.)
Just...wow. That's really all I can say. I'm off to read the next bit! May I assume this is...Legolas? I don't know...I assumed Aragorn, but you did say something about a beautiful voice, and I think of elves automatically when I read that...
Ciao!
Ivy :)

My god, this is wonderful! I love how realistic it is, I love how you show all sides of the characters' thoughts; I adore every single bit of it!

Strangely, I had actually wondered at one point, being swamped by 'girl lands in ME' fics and parodies of the above mentioned fic... fics, what exactly would happen if that took place. I am very glad to see that, till now at least, you seem to have pretty much covered everything.

Did I mention how much I love this? Looking forward to reading more!

I like this chapter, with the sudden realizations that she wasn't in Kansas anymore. How shocking to suddenly realize you have awkened in a different world and nothing you knew to be true still is. I'd have hit the wall a few times too. Pain is pretty real.

De Nile, is it?

Don't blame her though. Who would want to accept this? Insanity is easier to understand. And depression once Penny realises that she might be in a locked ward somewhere, but her mind is quite firmly in Middle-earth.

Penny seems to realize now that can’t be only a role-play. And of course it is absolutely impossibly to shape the land according to the books! One place maybe, but not the whole countryside. No wonder she lost her nerves and tried in panic to run, thinking herself insane.

I love your Halbarad. It’s understandable he is sometimes quite angry with her, but on the whole, he is very nice to her, and seeing him wanting to help the crying, desperate Penny was sweet.
