Aha, perfect! And so Elvish, to want to be upwind of the pipe smoke! Heh! Love this! Had me giggling all through it.

Author Reply: Thanks! I think the smokers would find Legolas' distaste for their pasttime amusing. But I can just see the rolling eyes.

I am going back into the open air, to see what the wind and sky are doing!

I loved that phrasing--"see what the wind and sky are doing." It's like the world is much more alive than we usually realize. Just beautiful.

Author Reply: Of course, that line's straight out of the book, but I always felt it was significant that he said it right *after* the pipe-weed showed up, LOL!

I do agree, though, it seems a very Elven way of looking at "wind and sky"!
