Good - Eowyn has got over the first stresses of motherhood and settled into loving and feeding her baby. One hassle less! And Faramir and Aragorn are about to wallow like hippopotami in the healing bath.

I'm not sure whether having a curious Eowyn would be any worse than the arrival of a sullen and resentful Eomer - but it's about time that the king of Rohan got his bad temper out of his system, so it's probably a good thing that he's there. Probably.

I'm sure Aragorn and Arwen will be thrilled at one less hassle for them too !

I doubt any sparks would fly if Eowyn had arrived to see the hippopotami ( I love your image of the here)but Eomer's temper could cause problems for our heroes.

A mud bath? Intriguing. I don't think I've ever had one of those before. They're supposed to be relaxing, though terribly smelly.

And here's Éomer, come to play in the mud! At least, we hope that's what he's come to do. . .

Author Reply: I first introduced the mud bath at the end of "Shadow and Thought",being a spercial Elven one,it doesn't smell !
I fear playing is the last thing on Eomer's mind !
Many thanks for your much apreciated review.

Our heroes are healing up nicely - well, most of them.

Prescription for Aragorn - at least three nights of uninterrupted sleep and no crises involving needy Stewards or tempestuous Rohirrim.

Prescription for Arwen - a weekend with Aragorn where all they do is read, play with the baby, sleep, make love, and sing.

Prescription for Faramir - Chicken soup. Lots of chicken soup; maybe with lembas crackers.

Prescription for Eowyn - continued relaxation. Send her down to the stables so she can curry a horse and see some foals or something equally pleasant.

Prescription for Eomer - speaking of horses, it's time he stopped thinking like one's back end. Needs a slap upside the head (Eomer, not any horse). Or maybe Aragorn could lower Eomer into that elven mudbath head-first.

Imrahil - Faramir and Aragorn staying out of trouble so he can go back and take care of his own princedom and spend time with his sons and grandchild(ren) and the Swan Knights of course.

Good chapter!

Author Reply: This was just priceless, a story in itself !I hope our heroes read it and take your advice.I can't stop laughing !
