Paradox of the Fourth Age  by Alassante 3 Review(s)
LarnerReviewed Chapter: 7 on 1/27/2006
What a meeting between husband and wife in a new beginning, one which hopefully bring them to the proper ending.

Author Reply: Now all they have to do is both survive the War of the Ring, admit they're in love, and get married again. No biggie, right? :0) It wouldn't be any good if it were that easy and predictable.

Oh Alassante, this chapter is incredible. I can't believe the way you wrote Laureanna trip into the past of Arda. It is just simply amazing. The difference between 'peaceful' Elrohir and the bitter & watchful Elrohir is incredibly well written.

Ah and, the heart to heart moment between Elladan and Elrohir, there is no better way to write brotherly (and a bond between twins) this way, you expressed the consequences of Elrohir's demise to Elladan in a very powerful and emotional way. I found myself, at a certain moment going like: you're such an idiot Elrohir, look what you're doing to your brother! This actually tells me how captivating your story is. Every chapter is a gem, it draws me into it straight away, and when I put it down again, I feel a bit disoriented... so two thumbs up here Alassante! I can't wait to see what will happen next, the parts between Gimli and Laureanna are priceless and the visuals you give us of the War of the Ring gives me a good idea how desperate the situation at that moment was. This, also combined with the future of Valinor... please update one of my favourite stories soon!

Author Reply: Thanks so much Rhaps. I'm glad your enjoying it. I love the twins and wanted to display the strong bond they had in a non-slashy twincest way that you always seem to see in fanfiction.

This is so lovely.... You have to feel the pain Elrohir is going through, he feels he should have died instead of Arwen, ans Elladan is upset he didn't share it.

Laureanna is put in a tough spot no-one she knows and you know she feels alone. Gimli is very suspicious of her, but Legolas wants to protect her as much as he can... She dreams what could come to pass, but is it really a dream is it something or someone trying to scare her away from her quest...

It seems Elrohir is cold and arogant when she sees him again, and she puts him in his place...good for her...It seems he likes her and thinks she is familiar, that will come in handy for her..

Please continue, can't wait till you update...
