I started to read your story and really enjoy it. Thank you for writing and sharing. Hopefully you will update it one day.

Well, as the reviewer said over at Tolkien Fan Fiction, you COULD just flesh out this prologue and make a dark AU piece out of it. However, I am very glad that you are continuing!

Author Reply: Thank you. I saw that review on TFF and thought about it but the flashbacks do show glimpses of that world. My direction for this story was somewhat different though. I wondered at first when I posted it if I would lose readers instantly by killing off all of the Fellowship and some other main characters. In fact I almost threw one friend into a heartattack when she first read it. She's a big Legolas fan and threatened my life if I didn't 'fix' it LOL I told her she'd have to keep reading to see ;)

A grievous report indeed; and her question remains valid.

Author Reply: Very true - much like the story of Melkor/Morgoth reminds me of the story of the devil - the fairest and most powerful, how far they fall.

Hi Alassante! Oh yes, I have read this at another site and I remember when I first read this prologue--my jaw just hit the floor. And it did again on this reading. I do like the idea of 'if just one wrong decision had been made...' And you have exploited that well here. This is a very intense story.

This was layer upon layer of horrible events that led to the destruction of Middle Earth... Very powerful...Loved it! Pleease continue...

Author Reply: Thanks so much. When I was telling people about this story they thought I was insane. One person told me that Legolas fans would lynch me if I posted the Prologue without Chapter 1. Just to be safe, thats what I did!!
