LOLOLOL!

Thank you for the link!

So now I must ask...

Why was Frodo so angry yesterday? And why would Isumbard be a suspect?

Got more stories for us? (For Middlest was reading over my shoulder, and laughing, and shouting some of the parts out loud as she read, and having a lovely time.

Author Reply: Well, if you remember the drabble, Linden spilled food on Lalia and got a severe dressing-down in front of everyone in the smial, which happened to include even Frodo and Bilbo. Isumbard is angry on behalf of his sister, and Reginard because he really likes Linden. I thought this would serve as a most appropriate revenge for the lass! Heh!

So glad that Middlest enjoyed it, too! Love to the family and the beasts! Hope to see you once the family is finally in their own home.

LOL!

She deserved it. Hilarious!

Author Reply: Oh, Lalia was a tartar in her time, no question of that! Heh!

HA! That was just great, Larner - a prank worthy of the rascal of Buckland! Of course Frodo would be the main suspect, but he's too intelligent not to work around that! And what a great idea to use Tengwar to hide their usual handwriting and to teach so many the words in advance!

Anyway, it served Lalia *so* right to be glued to her chair, and not only because of Linden, if you ask me. And it was great to see Frodo and Reggie working together so well :)

Thanks for the laugh!

Author Reply: Yes, he had to have earned that title SOMEHOW, of course! Heh! And I LOVE letting the Rascal out to have his head now and then.

And who better for him to use his wits to best than Lalia the Fat--I mean Great? Heh! And another tale alluded to in several of my stories finally fleshed out!

And am so glad people appreciate this one. Thanks!

LOL!!!

That was a great prank! I particularly enjoyed the "Tengwar lesson". How very clever of Frodo! And Reggie had his revenge.

Author Reply: Oh, yes, the Tengwar lesson allowed Frodo to teach his Took cousins to nice epithets to use as well as adding more distractors to the task of determining just who put glue on Mistress Lalia's chair. And by keeping attention on himself, Frodo allows Reggie to take revenge on Linden's behalf! So glad it gave you a laugh as well as giving another example of just how devious Frodo Baggins could be, back in the days when he deserved his title of Rascal!

Well planned Frodo.
I enjoyed this Larner.

Author Reply: Oh, am so glad you did, Harrowcat. It was fun to write, believe me! Now we know HOW it was done, and Frodo's own complicity in the scheme! Heh!

LOL!

Clever hobbits! (Naughty hobbits!)

Author Reply: Yes, both clever and naughty. Your tale will be posted here tomorrow, and look forward to seeing you the second week in February.

Delightfully amusing!I can just imagine this happening.

Author Reply: I, too, can imagine it all too well, Linda. It was fun to flesh out this tale that originally was hinted at in "Second Mum"!

Thanks, and glad it gave you a laugh.

Oh well, boys will be boys or, in this case, lads! Lalia did deserve it though, miserable woman! She made a lot of people's lives very uncomfotable.
More please,
Lynda

Author Reply: Lalia, Tolkien's gift to us through his letters, is now firmly seated in our imaginations, I think, as another delightful female villain of sorts. And now and then it is fun to think of her as getting her own back. Heh!
