Shadow and Thought  by Linda Hoyland 2 Review(s)
JuliaReviewed Chapter: 8 on 7/27/2006
You were right, this is better with less mean Eowyn. You make it clear she is still furious with Aragorn, and even at Fara at the end, when she overhears and misunderstands their conversation, but she's not nearly so crazy mean in this version. I still want to smack her, but not nearly so hard. And I really liked Fara's childhood memories of his mother, especially taking her the flowers, which inspired him to take some primroses in where both the King and Eowyn could see and enjoy them. Good also to see Aragorn getting better.

Author Reply: Many thanks for your much appreciated review.I'm glad Eowyn is turning out better in this version !
I always feel Faramir inherited his gentle nature from his mother,so I like to mention her.

Good chapter. I feel a bit sorry for Eowyn here; the two guys are becoming pals, and she's misunderstanding Aragorn's words and seething with resentment and misery.

You've improved the story since it was first posted at ff.net - good work!

Author Reply: Many thanks for your much appreciated review.I'm glad you can feel sorry for Eowyn, she is feeling shut out at the moment and is too pround and angry to join the men who would welcome her.
I'm so glad you think the story has improved.I shudder now at my first version !
