Shadow and Thought  by Linda Hoyland 3 Review(s)

Oh my goodness, our poor King! He's really in bad shape, even with Faramir and Eowyn to tend him. I'm still mad at her for ripping off Aragorn's bandage w/o thinking that it needed wetting, but as I recall she is a bit more merciful than in the original version of this story, even though you make it clear she still hates Aragorn for "tricking her into a loveless marriage."

I realized that even when the site-which-will not-be-named is down I can finish your story here! Hooray!

Poor Aragron even had insects in his back! The poor dear.

I'm glad Eowyn is helping, even if she still hates the man. I think I've heard the thing about honey before. It's supposed to have antibacterial properties or something?

Guilt and Faramir are old friends, it seems.

I felt bad for Eowyn when she accidentally ripped off a chunk of Aragorn's back. Yeow! My first thought when she was having trouble is that she needed to wet them first, but then, I'm a nurse.

Author Reply: I'm glad you found the story here.I think the other site has just come back but I can't find my latest reviews of AWOT yet, they are a pain !

Yes, honey is a good antibacterial agent and is still used sometimes today.
Eowyn will come to regret beig so impatient !

Many thanks for your kind review.

Good thing there was a shield maiden handy. Although I don't think she's got much talent as a healer. Beyond the battlefield, at any rate.

Author Reply: Many thanks for your review.I agree Eowyn is better on the battlefield than as a healer, after all she tells Faramir she is not gentle !
