Drabbles  by Lindelea 7 Review(s)
BodkinReviewed Chapter: 25 on 12/9/2006
Better to be both right than both wrong. And the beer and vittles sound an outcome to hope for.

Author Reply: I know they got vittles at Farmer Maggot's at least. (Mushrooms, yum!) I forget if they got beer or not.

Well done! It's amazing what you manage to fit into 100 words.

Author Reply: Drabbles are astonishing things, aren't they? I love to read them, it's like unwrapping a very small package wrapped in bright paper and finding a tiny surprise, complete and perfect.

*chuckle*

Yes, they *were* both right, and quite diplomatic of Frodo to point it out that way! You know I love the idea of all that must have been going through the heads of those three on that trek across the Shire--love to see it this way! Poor hobbits, they can't *really* talk to one another about what's *truly* on their minds!

Author Reply: Yes, all that "light talk"--I can just see them chivving (is that the right word?) each other over beer, in happier times.

A peek inside their heads during a tense moment. when the news is bad, of course, I would rather have been wrong!

Author Reply: Yes, very bittersweet, to have been right and wish to have been wrong.

Great minds do think alike, don't they? Marvelous!

Author Reply: Thanks!

(and yes, great minds do think alike, I should think)
