However will he be satisfied with woodland fare indeed! Ah, our odd Tooks and Bagginses, but oh how the Shire and all of Middle earth has need of them :)

I have spent a fair amount of time catching up on this series of stories for I have quite recently stummbled upon the Hurt/Comfort community and subsequently this site. I have resigned myself to the fact that I must wait for the next chapter but I do it under duress =)
Your writing flows very freely and I have fallen completely into this world. I might have a crush on Estel/Aragorn/Stridor but shh! lets all keep that a secret. I was highly amused when you pointed out that Aragorn has a different name for everywhere he goes. This used to confuse me and continues to do so to my best friend when I try to explain the books to her.
Usually I tend to shy away from the 'book' characters because the stories can be forced but I am entirely enjoying this.
I am not a writer, for I could not measure up to most of the talent out today, but I am an avid reader and can only hope that my commenting encourages you to continue to write such completely enticing stories.

I`ve been so occupied with "real" hobbits lately that I didn`t know there was a update on this, but I very much enjoy it. I especially loved the conversation between Bilbo and Aragorn about Aragorn`s background, and of course the bits about Merry. ;)

I love your descriptions of Merry throughout this story; so young still, but already possessing such a strong sense of responsibility. The image of him falling asleep on the floor of the parlor because he wouldn't abandon *his* guests is so sweet. :D

“It has been many days since you have fully rested, Captain,” Thalguron said. “Do you wish a meal before sleep?”

“A most hobbit-like thing to inquire,” Aragorn grinned. “How will you ever be satisfied with woodland fare after this?”

How will any of them be satisfied w/woodland fare after this...LOL. I loved that. Especially Aragorn's reply. Me thinks the hobbits are rubbing off on Thalguron. ;o) Rangers, hobbits, pups and a slumber party. Who could ask for anything more? :oD

What a lovely fluffy chapter. Can't wait to read about Bilbo and Aragorn's talk and hopefully, a well Frodo excited to show the clasp to everyone.

I do love your Merry. So young, but determined and level headed. A fine future Master of Buckland indeed.

Can't wait for the next installment!!!

Lily BagginsReviewed Chapter: 9 on 7/22/2005
I just love your Bilbo---he's always so sensible (for a cracked Baggins, that is) and always has Frodo's health and best interests at heart at all times. Oooo, did I hear he's setting out towels and BASINS? :D

And Aragorn . . . well, cannot go on and on forever, but you know how I feel about your Aragorn here. Especially his explanation to Thalguron of everything hobbity . . . and his query about whether the stories told were appropriate for a child. Surely, surely all the rangers' tales are appropriate for children? ;D

Can't wait for the next chapter---I imagine Frodo will probably be waking soon, and I'm very curious to see what that will be like. Blankets will surely be involved, I think . . .

Again, a pleasure to read. Bilbo's interest is now up, and it won't be too terrifically long before he knows the full tale of Aragorn son of Arathorn.

Mysterious JediReviewed Chapter: 9 on 7/22/2005
Do you think those tales told to Merry will be remembered and repeated all over the Shire? :)

Oh, a slumber party with hobbits and rangers! *bounces*

I've reread this ch. twice already, Janet, one of my favorites.

I am so looking forward to Bilbo's talk with Estel! And I liked how the latter wasn't entirely sure about his age.

Trees are smarter than we think! *nods*

*big grin seeing new story alert from Shirebound!* More poem writing? and big hobbit = Ranger chat coming up? I have stopped borrowing Marigold's sticksies, I promise but my fingers are itching!
