So ... not immune. I never really believed that he would be, though -- what would be the point of that? :-P

Even at the young age of 12 Merry is quite intent on being the perfect host, lol! You paint a very sweet picture of him.

Oh, no! Now Frodo is ill too! How will this end? I can just imagine how excited he must be to know more about Aragorn now that he has the other Rangers there. :D

I'm curious to see how Frodo's response to the poison of the thorns will be different from Halbarad's, since Frodo isn't actually in the Old Forest.

As always, I love the gentleness and respect that Aragorn shows the hobbits, and I'm glad the other Rangers are getting to meet the hobbits through Aragorn's guidance.

Now I can look forward to a little of that Frodo h/c that you do so well. :D

OK. You get to keep the Frodohealers badge. This is warming up nicely. :)

HAH! That's right, go ahead and lock the doors and think he can't get out of the window. Frodo's a very resourceful hobbit.

I love the fact that no matter what serious happenings are going on, your hobbits are always hobbits and are always concerned with the most important thing in life: food!

Halbarad's reactions to all of this are hysterical---oh, to be on the receiving end of hobbit-care . . .

Well, at last we have my favorite thing---a dizzy, near-fainting Frodo. I can't help but wonder greatly what future chapters will bring. Hobbit cuddling, I'm certain.

Great chapter as always!

Hmmm... I join the others in thinking that Frodo is not going to be kept from leaving that room if he wants to leave it. The window may be difficult, but not impossible to open... Now, however, you've got me considering the title of this fic. Do we get to hear some secrets whispered by the forest through Frodo? I can imagine that your plentiful imagination could come up with all sorts of curious things.

So cute, asking if Merry is a servant ;) No, just a lad who knows how to be a good host and is "to the mannor (smial) born".

If Gandalf dubs Pippin the "worst" of the inquisitive hobbits, than he must be hard to bear indeed!! hehehe but the young are always inquisitive, one of the things I like best about them.

Wonderful as always, dear friend :)

Oh good!! I'll warn my parents to be on the lookout for a scruffy Ranger and an adorable puppy then. ;o)

I love how Halbarad and his brother wanted to answer Frodo's questions about Aragorn, but weren't sure how far to go w/out breaking their oath. Not to fear though, w/Aragorn's permission, they were fine. Loved how Aragorn suddenly found the ceiling so interesting too. *snicker*

Merry's certainly going to make a fine Master of Buckland if his care of Halbarad is any indication. He saw the Ranger needed food and w/a hobbit around, that's one thing that won't be lacking. :o)

Uh oh...The effects of the thorns have begun and Scamp has joined Frodo and Merry. She w/out a doubt knows where she's needed, doesn't she? I hope what is to come doesn't give them too much to handle and I hope it doesn't scare Merry too much.

Now update w/the next chapter!!! Soon!!! Please?

(See, I said please...) :o)
