Force of Nature  by shirebound 19 Review(s)

Ahh... Not only are the trees brooding and filled with hidden agendas, but the very plants and thorns have their own secrets. If Halbarad had become so content that he would have willingly stayed in the Forest, then why did he come to his senses after a relatively short time and after having suffered no other harm from the forest itself? I would imagine that the forest would have wanted something more than that. Unless I am anthropomorphizing much too much, I suspect that there is much more going on here... and that Frodo will be the one to discover/uncover what it is...

I`m glad they found their way out of the forest easy and quick. Of course with Rangers about they should manage but the Old Forest is sneaky and moves its paths... :) I had to laogh at your description of Merry running about and pacing. That`s so true to his character. :) Can`t wait for more!

Come on, Halbarad. Whine as you like. Scream as loudly as you want. All you will get will only be hobbits all around you. Isn't that the sweetest thing?

:)

"Aragorn smiled to himself. If he knew his hobbits, Halbarad would soon be distracted not by pain, but by more food than he could possibly eat."

Loved that line...his hobbits! And i really like the way you're writing Halbarad; wanting to be brave in front of those he is trying to protect. i bet aragorn was just like that in his younger years!

something i keep forgetting to ask, i your (excellent) story By Chance Or Purpose it is mentioned that aragorn last saw frodo on his 35th birthday after bilbo left the shire. is this mentioned in the other stories from this series or is it just there to make the story work?

Bless the Hobbits indeed, for Halbarad will know care--and, indeed, feeding. Love the imagery, and also wonder if and when the spell will take Frodo.

You sure know how to keep a girl in suspense!

yes, Merry will be a fine Master of Buckland :) It will be interesting to see how Frodo is affected.

Well, at least Halbarad won't be hungry for much longer if I know my hobbits the way Aragorn does. :oD Poor Halbarad...He's rather young and green here, isn't he? I mean, not wanting to show any pain when Aragorn sets his ankle because he thinks that would be letting his Captain down. Count on Aragorn to show Halbarad that's not weakness.

And thank goodness for that furry little puppy!! If Scamp hadn't been there, there's no way they would have gotten out.

Something tells me Frodo's in for a tough time of things. And what's w/the "treasure" Frodo found in The Old Forest? Can't wait to read more from this wonderful universe you've created!! :o)

Another ill Frodo tended by Aragorn? Quarantined deja vu! Sounds like fun :)

I was so excited to read the next chapter. Somehow I can't see Frodo being spared - you do give him his fair share of delerium don't you? But then the healing and comfort that follows is fantastic. It is almost as much fun reading your replies to the reviewers. I am being nibbled by your plot bunny concerning the writing of Bilbo's poem about the Dunadan but I haven't written a real story since I left school and you appear to be answering it within your universe. I am dying to hear more but I do know what you mean about RL and full-time work so consider this review as a cooling hankie to soother your brow and a strong cup of coffee to keep you awake long enough to write!
