| Oh this is very lovely...I like to see the relationship between the hobbits deepened. It must be quite interesting to see all of someone through their eyes. Eyes are windows to the soul, especially Frodo's..... Author Reply: Eyes certainly are windows to the sould. Other people's eyes are very important to me which is probably why they are often mentioned in my stories :) | |

| A nice little scene between the cousins. You have a gift for description: Silver moonlight bathed the pale face and ebony curls hid wistful eyes. In his heart he had already said his farewells, locked away the treasured memories and planted a seedling of hope for a possible return. With a dart Pippin got to his feet and allowed Frodo to put an arm around his shoulders as they made their way swiftly back into the house and, for now, locked out the darkness and troubles that awaited them. This sounded so hobbity: "Besides, you are not going to have an adventure without me!" he declared. And this sounded just like Pippin to me: He had to admit that he had felt just the tiniest bit uncomfortable when so much emotion was exposed to him. It is a little "side" of deep-down honesty that adds a "real" feeling to the writing. | I loved this, though it took me a moment to realise that they were at Crickhollow. More, pleeeese! Author Reply: I never mention where exactly the scene takes place (at least not in this story) and that's why I made it the title of the chapter :) There will certainly be more, as I am already working on chapter two. | |
