hehehehe
Very sweet, very loving, and very Tookish.
In the version I read, it was more than G. I have a very good imagination and you skillfully led me in the right direction. Thank you!

Author Reply: Oh, my! I just now saw this. So sorry for the *very* belated reply!

Thank *you*!

(and hoping you are well, and your hobbits, too)

That was so cute. I'm grinning from ear to ear.

I have a very good imagination, and that made it all the more fun.

I envy Diamond that picnic.:)

Author Reply: What fun!

Allow me to explain the process of discovery of this fic.

1). C. visits SoA. Reads main summary, in particular the in response to a challenge by Golden bit. Thinks: "Really?", having followed the GFIC comm threads enough to know exactly what sort of bunny L. came up with.

2). C. clicks on fic, and reads the cast of characters. "Really?" turns into "Really!", especially when she reads the rating caveat.

3). C. reads fic and enjoys*. Hypothesis is proven.

4). C. clicks and reads comments because she is a weird person, and realizes that this was not the initial title of the piece. Knowing the Bunny that Started It All, she hypothesizes the original title of the fic and collapses in a fit of giggles.

5). C. recovers and checks the GFIC comm, scrolling down far enough to discover the fic's original title. Hypothesis proven.

In other words, the very fact that you wrote this was almost, almost as entertaining as the fic itself!

*Really, this was a lovely use of that crazy challenge, the demands for which I have a feeling will be reiterated since they worked out so well. AND you kept it G, which is pretty darn amazing. I love implications.

And of course Diamond suits Pippin perfectly if she can manage to pull this off (which she has!).

Author Reply: LOL! Really, your comments are quite as amusing as the story, if not more! Such a lovely treat to go with my afternoon tea.

And having ducked back into the GFIC comm, I see you're something of an instigator yourself. A Golden story without Pippin!

(Masterful insult, by the way. Reminds me of Klinger and his "if I had a dog as ugly as you I'd shave his [behind] and teach him to walk backwards"... only LOTR-ier. Mind if I use it sometime, if I can fit it in somewhere? Sounds like something a Man of Gondor would say to another Man of Gondor, or perhaps a Rider of Rohan.)

Definitely a keeper, Lindelea! Delightful as we see how carefully Diamond has prepared for this. And I do think that Pippin will find such forfeits well worth the losing!

And I love the thought that he insisted Merry try to balance a spoon on his nose before the delegation from Bree! Heh! Poor Merry.

Author Reply: Poor Merry. How do you think he explained it?

Awwww, how adorable. Let's slip out and leave these two alone, shall we?

Author Reply: *grin*

Author Reply: Mmmm. I imagine they're having a lovely... picnic.

*grin* I see you've changed the title for this one! LOL!

It still makes me grin.

Author Reply: LOL! Who would read it, under the working title? It sounded like it might rank among very bad fanfic at another (not to be named) archive. Even Golden was afraid to touch it! *g*

Thanks!
