When Adventure Knocks  by Lily Dragonquill 4 Review(s)

I recognize some of the story from another time, but didn't remember the "monster at the door" at the end of the chapter. Gotta be Gandalf or a Dwarf. Love it!

Augh! Cliff-hanger! If I wasn't absolutely compelled to stop and review (which, of course, I am) I would read on...which I will...in a second. I just had to comment on this chapter. Poor Frodo...he can bounch back from mishaps, however....I like Bilbo's comment that Frodo's easy to amuse. For a tiem, at least. I was like that. I once went an entire palne ride with just a napkin to play with...at least, that was all I wanted to play with. I was an odd child. But at any rate I must read on and find out what the 'monster' is....

Author Reply: Most children will entertain themselves with simple things for quite a while - Frodo is no exception :)
I used to play with little ponies too - could do so the entire day without getting bored.

This is just great. We don't get nearly enough of Frodo being a perfectly normal, messy, into everything child. I love this. Mind you, if I were Bilbo I would be pulling my hair out by now - but I guess young Frodo is so adorable he makes up for it.

I think so too, otherwise poor Bilbo would really be losing his nerves by now. :)

Oh my goodness, I think Frodo's about to have a real adventure walk right through the door of Bag End! What a delight of a story.

Author Reply: I guess Frodo's attitude to andventures is quite different to what he had expected. Thankfully it is not a dragon waiting at the door.
