Love the imagery here. Dear Frodo, wanting to make things right for Uncle Bilbo! Lovely.

Ah yes, the classic idea of a child trying to bring breakfast in bed to an adult and making such a mess of it.....then of course there's the bit where the adult walks in at exactly the wrong moment and, if they're cold and entirely unforgiving, yells at the poor kid or takes one look at those big blue eyes and pretends not to mind a bit. Love that concept, and tossing Frodo into the mix makes it perfect! ^.^

Author Reply: How could you do anything else but pretend that you don't mind a bit when those eyes are on you?

lol aww sweet Frodo to want to surprise Bilbo... i'm surprised at the amount of work that he already did have done in terms of preparing the table. :D
so it's 1374 so is Frodo only 6 years old at that time? Since Frodo is born 1368, i guess that would make him 6... He's doing quite a lot for a six year old--i'm impressed =)

Author Reply: Young Frodo is almost six years old, yes :)
Considering the importance of a breakfast table (especially for hobbit children) I thought it would be all right if Frodo did the best he could :)

This is so sweet! Frodo is so earnest and serious about everything he has to accomplish (and how quiet he needs to be), and Bilbo so understanding and compassionate. I just love them together.

Author Reply: I'm so happy you like this story.

Aw, how precious! Makes me want to snuggle and huggle him!
I love your young Frodo; he's such a thoughtful lad.

Author Reply: I have the same problem. At times I wish I could take him out of the tale and snuggle him :)
I'm glad you liked it.

Oh my, what an adorable story. So detailed, and so full of just what the thought processes are for a small child. You have a lot of insight into the way a little one's mind works! And the descriptions are wonderful!

Author Reply: I'm glad you enjoyed it.
Thank you for mentioning the descrptions. I love long descriptions and always fear I bore others with them. Thanks for commenting.
