| Yet in the end he will find Estella in his own arms. A beautiful gapfilling vignette. Poor Sam, worrying himself sick over Frodo selling to the S-Bs! Author Reply: He certainly will. They'll have their HEA, they'll just have to work harder for it than others. ;) Sam wouldn't like the idea of the S-Bs in Bag End - and no doubt ruining *his* garden! Thanks for reading, dear! | |

| Ah, urgent and bittersweet, you've done a wonderful job of catching the flavour of what must have been a time of uncertainty, shading to desperation as Frodo put his plans into motion. Poor Merry. In a way, he's taking care of Estella as best he can, what with his plans to leave, and no certainty of returning. Author Reply: Thank you, dear!
