*big smile* Perfectly wonderful, as always!! You absolutely amaze me, Jay. Loved loved loved loved this fic. I was hoping this one was not going to end sadly, and it didn't. =) And, as always, I love the twins and Estel, so this one was doubly good. Loved the beginning with the flying rocks, lol. Fantabulisticaying job! -Cel

Author Reply: Thank you! This is quite an old story, and it's nice to know that people are still reading it.

what a great story, Jay! A little scary for my favorite elf, but I really liked it! I should hit 'last page' instead of 'next page' more often while nosing around the board. :) Ya never know what you'll find! :D

Author Reply: I was rather surprised to get a review for this story as it's so old - but thank you! I'm glad you liked it. Looking at that 'last page' myself, there are some very good tales there that I'd forgotten about.

this story was great! I felt horrible for legolas...because he would never again see his beloved lasgalen...i wonder...do you know if anyone has ever made a story of el and el when that happened to them?

Author Reply: Legolas did see Lasgalen again; he went back there after the war of the ring, but of course he settled in Ithilien.

I wonder if the twins suffered from the sea-longing? They were Noldor elves (mostly), and I think I read somewhere that they weren't affected. Hmm, is that a plot bunny I see?

I could suggest that the stone-throwing amusements at the opening seemed out of place. Not suited to fateful mission they were undertaking. Perhaps the point was, after the Paths of the Dead, the company would need some lighthearted amusement. Maybe – good theory – but the stone throwing still seemed - not what full grown warrior Elves would do. But that is just my opinion and not supposed to be the writer’s vision. What I liked about this story were the surprise that Legolas pulled during the fight, and his acceptance of his fate with joy. And the relationship with Gimli was well done. You could sense the friendship, and that was nice. Best regards – Chathol-linn

This is a new experience, reading a Legolas sea-longing fic that is not filled with angst and suffering. Thank you for making that seem less oppressive. Am also in the process of writing my first fic, which shall be exactly about this, though much angst. Well thank you for this new point of view.
