| Holy heaven to Betsey, Budgie! This is great! Very suspenseful, and I can tell that it's going to be an excellent tale. One of my friends mentioned to me today that she read it, and I realized that I hadn't yet! So, I read it and now I'm reviewing. :) I like that the hobbits are so tender with everyone. Their treatment of Legolas was so endearing. The men named Lando and Billeh made me laugh. For some odd reason, I immediately pictured Orlando and Billy. Did you do that on purpose? Your Aragorn and Gandalf are wonderful. I love how you write them. Looking forward to more! Thanks! | |

| Frodo the thinker. I like that. He always came across as the thoughtful one in Tolkien's work and it's good to see you using that. Too many fanfic writers forget that he is a wise hobbit. And your Sam is so brave and determined. And some Legolas angst too. (That's not as good as Frodo angst, you understand, but I'm sure you won't disappoint me on that one. ;) ) | |

| Budgie, are you trying to keep me in a perpetual state of nerves and nail biting? Did Frodo keep Pippin from saying "Took" to the Men because Pippin would be a valuable hostage if they knew who he was? If so, that was incredibly quick-thinking of Frodo (and Budgie).
