| Ah, here we go! Among the tension rising, you managed to slip in the little humorous notes I love dearly: "The altitude must directly effect their brains." And all that nice stroking and caring for the wounded Elf. - Hobbits can be so lovely when written by a gifted hand... | I am a big Legolas fan and I love this so far! Having the poor wood elf fall from the tree was a mean way to get him injured! How embarrassing! Only the hobbits could get him to climb a dead tree. If Frodo turned those baby blues on anyone they would surely follow him to Mordor. I love the halfling interaction so far and their concern over the wounded comrade. Having the bad, bad men come in was a nice addition. Looking forward to your next chapter. | |

| Poor suffering Legolas. I might have known that along would come the baddies. I was just thinking - I can't remember all that many bad men in the original (except as armies). Yet there must have been lots. I hope the suffering doesn't go on for too long - those warriors should be quite close by now, and I recall the hobbits making a pretty good show in parts of R in R (among others of your tales). Go for it, Sam - shame you do not have your frying pan handy. Use the slings. Show them small doesn't mean defenceless! Save the elf. Looking forward to the next part. | |

| I'm really adoring the interaction between the hobbits and Legolas in this fic. I always love your hobbits, but seeing them through Legolas' eyes makes them seem even more endearing somehow. And hey, I thought this was just a small humerous piece, but it looks like we've got an adventure on our hands! Excllent, can't wait for an update. | |

| Oh my goodness, this was great... so far this story is among my favorites of yours. Lando and Billeh? Hee . . . very funny. And the hobbits' concern for Legolas is so sweet and adorable and gah---how come I don't have hobbits here caring for me? And the others' disbelief that Legolas fell out of a tree . . . you manage to put good, subtle humor in all your stories, and I love that so much. But of course, my favorite thing is the nasty, nasty ruffians---ugh, they're so hideous and without any honor and the lead one --- Harlan --- seems to have ulterior motives regarding Frodo. jjffdkdghghghhdddss!!!! You have to KNOW how much I love stories in which Frodo is at the seeming mercy of a big bad ruffian guy, who leers at him, with the others in the Fellowship concerned . . . it really made my day to read that part. Honestly. Now, WHY do I have a feeling Aragorn and company won't be showing up at the exact opportune moment? | |
