The Queen's Orc  by jodancingtree 2 Review(s)

The last chapter, and Aragorn's death, had me in tears. In this one, I really liked the way Canohando drilled the Queen's Company into fighting orcs.

Author Reply: Oh, good! It's just not possible to write the end of Aragorn and Arwen's story without being angsty - but I am trying to get notes of hope and strength into it too. Canohando is a harbinger of the future...

And so now we move out of the valley of the shadow and onto the next phase of the orc's service.
Wonderful chapter, wonderful dealing with Arwen's grief that almost seems like subborness such is its depth.
Still love your bravery and your writing.

Author Reply: Thank you, Rose. I think that's a good point, that Arwen almost seems stubborn in her grief - an Elven quality, maybe? Elves are so unchanging, year after year - it might be very hard for an Elf to let go of deep grief.

Anyhow, Canohando's service is continuing in the next chapter - although I'm afraid the chapter looks a mess - there's been some change here on the site that throws my formatting all off, and I don't know how to fix it!
