| What a dilemma! Of course, it's not like Arwen. Canohando and Malewen should still be immortal, but still! Author Reply: But then of course, the Elves are immortal anyway - whether in Middle Earth or in Valinor. According to Tolkien, the Orcs are not - but I've modified that in this story, making the "mountain Orcs" of Mordor more like the Elves in their long lifespan. Canohando is already over 1000 years old, and he confidently expects to still be around to protect the Shire a thousand years in the future. jo | |
