As the Gentle Rain  by Lindelea 4 Review(s)

Amazing. I am actually starting to feel sorry for Brant. Pilgrim is freaking me out. Hope he doesn't get one of the little ones.

Merry is smart - he'll find something, if he doesn't wear himself out searching day and night, and sleep through the next crisis point. And I like Elfwine here - he reminds me a little of young Pip with his 'Where are we going?' A little different from the learned men of Gondor, and refreshingly simple.

Glad to see the attempt to save Ulrich is progressing - if slowly.

I hope Ferdi recovers from his sight problems, although prolonged bed rest would probably help him! I look forward to seeing him forcing himself to remain in bed a while longer. Perhaps it would help if Nell moves in with him!

I hope Pilgrim/Brant doesn't get another hobbit - but I fear he will. It had better not be Ferdi or Nell or the Society for the Humane Treatment of Ferdibrand Took's Family will be after you!

Yay! You're back.

Pilgrim is truly cracking, isn't he? I guess I should say the Brant half of that duo is cracking. I had hoped they would catch him this time. Now I know he's going to try again to grab a hobbit. Now I'm worried which one.

Ferdi can't win. Good thing he knows how to do things with his eyes closed. Double vision can be just as bad as no vision at all. Hope he gets back to normal soon, but not too soon. He has to give Merry time to find that precedent in Gondorian law that could save Ulrich.

Glad you're back.

Connie.
