GamgeeFest's Keepsakes  by GamgeeFest

Written for Grey Wonderer, who requested an encore for "The Pippin". Originally posted at the Wee-Hobbits LJ.

Hobbit Limericks

Pippin

There once was a lad from the Took-side
Whose mouth he could open up quite wide
And whatever went in
Was seen ne'er again
For there was naught that won't fit inside

Frodo

There once was a hobbit named Baggins
Whose love of mushrooms was legend
He was chased by a dog
Through the thick river fog
And soon after went to live at the Bag End

Merry

There once was a Brandybuck Merry
Whose feet were perfectly hairy
He was clever of wit
And even could fit
Both hands in a jar full of berry

Sam

There once was a hobbit of sensible calm
Who held the world’s hope in the cup of his palm
He was sunny and fey
As a brisk summer’s day
And could chase away dark with a psalm
